What did users need beyond tables?
The client wanted dynamic property management and visual information about tenants, rooms and contract expiry.
Case study · Real Estate
After an initial split frontend and backend implementation, a global property services company returned to Shinetech for a wider upgrade. The team took responsibility for UI/UX, APIs and database development.

The situation
In 2019, the client’s China branch commissioned Shinetech and another software company to build a property data-entry and management system. Shinetech handled the frontend; the other company handled the backend. Slow data responses became a problem after deployment.
In 2022, the client returned for a larger optimisation and upgrade. This time, Shinetech was commissioned to cover UI/UX design, APIs, databases and both frontend and backend development.
The project questions
The client wanted dynamic property management and visual information about tenants, rooms and contract expiry.
The team studied the original system to address response speed while considering reuse, scalability and compatibility.
Agile delivery allowed individual modules to be deployed when they were ready.
The solution
The team spent a month at the client’s site researching requirements and discussing operations with the business team. The UI/UX designer participated throughout requirements analysis and research.
The upgrade focused on data visualisation, response speed and functional modules that covered business-management needs. Analysis of the existing system considered code reuse and the impact of redevelopment.
The source identifies Vue, .NET and SQL Server for the property platform. A separate reporting system delivered during the collaboration used Microsoft Power BI.
How the work unfolded
Conduct a one-month requirements survey with the client’s business team. Involve the designer in the research to connect interface decisions to actual operations.
Study the original implementation, identify ways to improve slow responses and consider how existing code can be reused without overlooking future scalability and compatibility.
Use sprint planning, continuous integration, continuous delivery and iterative development. Deploy individual modules when ready rather than waiting for the entire system to be finished.
The client also entrusted Shinetech with a property-management product and a Power BI reporting system. Both were delivered, according to the original case report.
Technology and delivery context
The result
The source describes hundreds of business personnel online at the same time.
The report states 2.5 times the original scale and three times the response speed. It does not define the benchmarks behind those comparisons.
The initial six-person team reduced to two part-time people for final acceptance and maintenance. Two further systems were also delivered.
