Case study · Software & Technology
A Swedish software company developed a multi-company platform for project planning, site updates, time recording and cost reporting, with web and mobile access.

The situation
The product needed to support multiple companies independently while allowing controlled exchanges of project and personnel information. Users with different roles required different views of projects, work and costs.
Employees needed to record daily work and report changes found onsite, including supporting photographs and documents. Managers needed progress, time and labour reports to adjust plans and support administration.
The approach
The application combined project plans, risks, tasks, notes, documents and time statistics. Android and iOS access supported simple operations and field updates.
The C# backend used domain-driven design, interfaces and separate read and write paths. NHibernate supported data access, with SQL Server locally and Azure SQL in the hosted environment.
An architect, a business analyst, Android and iOS developers, and four web/backend engineers worked in an Agile team. Git, TeamCity and Octopus supported integration, tests and deployment to Azure.
Project context
Technologies and working practices used in this engagement.
The result
More than 100 companies were actively using the platform at the time of the project record.
Managers could review project progress, time and costs alongside uploaded site evidence.
Azure API Management supported external data access, and reporting was implemented with Telerik Reporting.
