Bring core modules to mobile
Contact, calendar, to-do, project and support-case functions were included in the mobile implementation.
Case study
Shinetech developed and updated mobile applications for WORKetc, bringing contact, calendar, task, project and support functions from the web product to mobile users.

The situation
WORKetc combined business tools in a web-based product for small and medium-sized companies. The mobile work needed to carry key modules into Android and iPhone applications.
The project included a developer responsible for building and updating those applications, with the aim of supporting the wider workflow and management product.
The approach
Contact, calendar, to-do, project and support-case functions were included in the mobile implementation.
The applications used HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, with jQuery Mobile implementing most modules from the web version.
Development responsibility included maintaining and updating the Android and iPhone applications.
Project context
Technologies and working practices used in this engagement.
The result
Key functions from the web product became available through the mobile apps.
The project record documents a five-point Android Market rating and favourable comments at the time it was written; this is a historical observation.
